There were gold sashes and white hats as far as the eye could see during Mass at Sacred Heart-St. Mary, Sept 9, as the Knights and Ladies Auxiliary of St. Peter Claver gathered to celebrate their patron saint’s feast day.
Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, celebrated Mass with the knights and ladies and spoke about prayer during his homily.
“So often we pray and we try to make Jesus more like us. What we should be doing is praying for ourselves to be more like Jesus,” Bishop Guillory said.
