Deacon Jim Gard, who had been assigned to St. Catherine of Siena, Port Arthur, passed away Aug. 18 at his home in Nederland. Visitation will be at St. Charles Borromeo, 211 Hardy Ave., Nederland, 5-8 p.m. Aug. 21. A rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 21. The Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 a.m. Aug. 22 at St. Charles. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hughen Center Inc., 2849 9th Ave., Port Arthur.
