Bishop Guillory’s brother, Michael Guillory, passes away

Michael Guillory of Church Point, La., brother of Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, passed away July 2. He was 47 years old and is survived by his wife Shirley Guillory.

Funeral services will be held at St. Ann, Mallet, La., at 11 a.m. July 7. Interment will be in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery, Mallet. Bishop Guillory will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.

Visiting hours will be 7-10 p.m. July 6, at St. Ann. A rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday, July 7, at 7 a.m.

Mr. Guillory is survived by his wife of 12 years, Shirley Ann Citizen Guillory of Church Point; four sons, Kenyon Guillory, Deondre’ Guillory, Jonelle Charlot and Kendall Charlot all of Church Point; five brothers, Bishop Guillory of Beaumont, Brother Kerry Guillory of Louisville, Ky., John Guillory of Lake Charles, La., Richard Guillory of Mallet and Ronald Guillory of Eunice, La.; nine sisters, Albertha Fontenot of Lawtell, La., Diana Tate of Eunice, Zoway Guillory of Mallet, Joyce Goodly of Slidell, La., Norma Guillory of Swords, LA, Margaret Armendariz of San Antonio, TX, Eldine Guillory Marla Citizen and Manella Bias all of Swords, La.; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Mr. Guillory was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred Guillory & Theresa Jordan Guillory; two sisters, Catherine Guillory and JoAnne Guillory and his father-in-law, Joseph Citizen.
