Mary Catherine Cormier, the wife of the late Deacon Roy Cormier and longtime parishioner of St. Mary, and then Sacred Heart-St. Mary, Port Arthur, passed away May 30.
The funeral will be held Saturday June 9 at Sacred Heart-St. Mary, 920 Booker T. Washington Ave., Port Arthur, at 10 a.m. The body will arrive at the church at 8 a.m.
“She was a great woman and support for me while I was pastor at St. Mary’s. She suffered greatly over the last fifteen years or so with her diabetes,” Father Sinclair Oubre, pastor of St. John the Evangelist, Port Arthur, said.
