St. Anne, Beaumont, was packed with folks ready to take the pro-life message to the streets Jan. 22 at the Right to Life of Southeast Texas Annual Rally and Walk. Father Sinclair Oubre, director of Apostleship of the Sea, was the keynote speaker.
“This is a complex issue and that’s fine because we, as humans, are complex creatures. We are made up of emotions, reason, irrationality and just plain stubbornness. You’re not going to convince everyone you meet but that doesn’t mean you should give up,” Father Oubre said.
After the rally the Knights on Bikes led the march down Calder to an abortion clinic on 18th Street. Youth groups were awarded for bringing the most youth to the event. Infant Jesus, Lumberton/ Holy Spirit, Kountze, received third, St. Anne, Beaumont, second and St. Francis of Assisi, Orange, first.
