Sacred Heart-St. Mary, Port Arthur, held its annual fall bazaar Oct. 15. There were games for kids and adults, including a cake walk, plenty of food, music and several of the ministries had their own booths.

Msgr. Kelly High School, Beaumont, celebrated its homecoming Oct. 14 successfully defeating the St. Thomas, Houston, Eagles 44 to 27. This year’s distinguished alumni was Hubert Oxford. Molly Anderson received the honor of homecoming queen.

The St. Charles Borromeo, Nederland, ninth-grade religious education class spread their faith at school Oct. 12 in the form of mustard seeds. The students journeyed to Nederland High School and Port Neches-Groves High School to pray for guidance and spread mustard seeds around the doors of the schools as a symbol for spreading their faith.
Beaumont’s 11th Street was Bulldog Country Oct. 12 as Msgr. Kelly Catholic High School, Beaumont, held its homecoming parade. The parade rolled in front of St. Anne Catholic School, Beaumont, and participants tossed candy to the spectators.

With wonderful weather almost 200 junior high youth on 15 teams gathered at the Beaumont Athletic Complex for Junior High Kickball Tournament, sponsored by the diocesan Office of Youth Ministry. Our Lady of Sorrows, China, defeated St. Louis, Winnie, 9-8 in the championship game to take home the trophy.
