After a summer hiatus Catholic a la Carte is back with a new location and a new format. The young adult event will now be held at the Lamar Catholic Student Center and will also be a potluck.
“I really wanted to make it more of an event for the students on campus and give it a different feel. We’re asking everyone to bring their favorite dishes. I’ll be presenting a discussion on the new translation of the Roman Missal,” Father Shane Baxter, director of campus ministry, said.
The group will meet at the Lamar Catholic Student Center, 1010 E. Virginia, Beaumont, at 6:30 Sept. 20. All young adults are welcome.
Catholic a la Carte is a monthly meeting for young adults to come together, listen to a presentation by a priest or lay person and discuss theology or an issue facing the church over a meal. For more information please call (409) 924-4360.
