The Lamar University Catholic Student Center was filled to the brim as visitors from all over Southeast Texas and beyond gathered to celebrate the dedication of the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel.
Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, celebrated Mass and spoke about all the hard work that had gone into the new chapel and the remodeling of the student center.
“I’m very thankful for all of those who donated to our capital campaign to make this possible. I would also like to thank Father Shane Baxter for being the conductor on this project and making sure everything went smoothly,”
After Mass a reception was held in the student center.
