Beginning Aug. 29 Marcia Stevens will hit the pavement running as the new superintendent of Catholic schools. Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, announced today (July 25) that Stevens will be the new superintendent of Catholic schools for the Diocese of Beaumont.

Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, Beaumont, alumni from the classes of 1924-1965 gathered together July 24 at Blessed Sacrament Church to celebrate their faith and the memories they share. Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, was joined by Josephite Father Henry Davis, pastor of Blessed Sacrament, Beaumont, as they celebrated Mass with the alumni.

It was the second Catholic school to open in Beaumont. From 1917 to 1970 hundreds of students attended Blessed Sacrament School. Now more than 40 years later alumni are reaching out to all former Blessed Sacrament attendees for an all school reunion.
