The final day of the 2011 Diocese Youth Convention began with Mass celeb rated by Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD. Bishop Guillory told the youth that their work was not done growing yet.
“The theme for this year is “Meant to Be.” And what that says to me is you are not yet what God has called you to be but you are on the way. We are on the road to becoming more perfect which is what we are called to do,” Bishop Guillory said.
After Mass the final keynote of the convention was given by Josephite Father Henry Davis. He focused his presentation on blessings.
“When you have the spirit of God in you guess what my brother and sisters in Christ? You are favored. You are blessed by the Lord. We have the spirit of God with us all the time,” Father Davis said.
Before the convention came to an end the current Diocese Youth Leadership Team passed on a few words of wisdom to the new team and handed down the cross which was carried out of the hall. There were many hugs and tears but most of all there were smiles.
