It was a night to honor educators April 22 at the Teacher of the Year Awards for the Diocese of Beaumont.
The Catholic Schools in the diocese honored elementary, middle school and high school teachers of the year as well as volunteers who give their time and talent to help throughout the school year at a dinner at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica Center, Beaumont.
Bishop Guillory thanked the teachers and the volunteers for all the hard work that they do for the students of the diocese.
“You all go above and beyond for the students, and it’s important. I’ve been very impressed visiting the schools recently and seeing the work that you’re doing. You’re giving these students the knowledge and the strength in their faith that they need,” Bishop Guillory said.
