The youth at St. Anne, Beaumont, have been blessed with a new youth center that not only gives them a place to meet but also honors their pastor. The Msgr. William Manger Youth Center was dedicated Oct. 12 by Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD.
“I know the youth are excited to have a place to meet and to worship together. I hope this new facility helps strengthen the group and helps it to grow,” Bishop Guillory said.
The previous youth building suffered roof damage last year during Hurricane Ike. The new youth building is named after Msgr. Manger, pastor of St. Anne, because of his active role in the youth program.
“The youth are an important part of the church family, and we need to make sure that they have their own piece of the church. I love working with the youth. I’m always here for anything they need,” Msgr. Manger said.
