BFA Video chosen one of the best

Karen Gilman receives award from Jim Kelley, President of ICSC Board of Directors.
The International Catholic Stewardship Council chose the Diocese of Beaumont’s 2009 Bishop’s Faith Appeal video as one of the best in its annual contest. The award was presented Oct. 11 at the annual Conference, held this year in Dallas.
The BFA video received honorable mention for ICSC Award for Excellence for promoting the theology of Stewardship
“It is such an honor to receive this award,” Karen Gilman, associate director of communications in the office of Stewardship and Communications said. “And the honorable mention is more like second place since ICSC only gives out a first place then the honorable mention.”
ICSC holds the conference every year to help bishops, priests, parish and diocesan staff learn more about Stewardship and to give them information and support on how to teach the Catholic faithful that Stewardship is a way of life.
More than 15 countries with over 700 representatives were in attendance at this year’s conference, the farthest being Australia. Eleven from the Diocese of Beaumont attended this year; several of them were funded by a grant from Catholic Church Extension Society
